I would like to share my experience. I have had tinnitus for 8 months
and I don't know why it started around Christmas time. It would vary
in loudness but was always there. I've always had a little bit of
ringing but so mild that it was inaudible if there was any ambient
sound at all. I usually only heard it when I went to bed and then only
if I listened for it. After my T ramped up and stayed there I tried
all the usual stuff but it seemed to be getting worse and it was
distressing and depressing, going to bed with it and waking up with
it.
A few days ago I got so fed up with not being able to sleep from it
that I decided to start from scratch and not use anything to see if it
would help. No medicines, no makeup, no lotions, no jewelry, nothing,
no dairy no coffee, etc. I went and had a chiropractic adjustment to
my neck and a massage. My tinnitus was the same after those
treatments. I went home to try a n application, the tinnitus tamer
that I had downloaded the night before after being up all night
listening to the ringing. I found this searching the net for tinnitus
sounds as I had read about neuromonics and thought I could do
something like that myself, record these sounds and play them back to
myself. That program seems to help some people but is expensive.
After I used the tinnitus tamer, I noticed an immediate dropping in
the loudness of my tinnitus. I couldn't believe it and wondered if it
had something to do with the massage, the chiro and all the other
stuff I did or didn't do. I used it again the next day and now my T is
down to what it was before, barely noticable. I am soooo relieved that
I just want to share this with other people. I have no interest in the
tamer program. It's free for 14 days, so I had nothing to lose. All I
did was put headphones on, not even the big ones they recommend but
little ear buds. I used the number 1 preset program. I did adjust the
high frequency tone to more match the ringing I have and that's it. I
hope the T doesn't come back but I feel like I have something now that
will help. I think I have T that's has to do more with congestion as
when I get up in the morning the T is more noticable and then goes
down a little after I start moving around. This morning my T was
slightly up, but not like it was before. I used the Tinn Tamer again
and can notice that the volume goes down. Matching the pitch of my T
seems to help the most. When I put it on a sweep tone it almost feels
like an ear massage which I like. I just wanted to share this. It's
nice to know that my T can go away, I was beginning to get really down
thinking it might be permanent. Just knowing it can go back to
"normal" has given me a lot of hope. I'm going to start adding
things back into my routine one at a time and see what happens. Maybe
there is something that congests my ears and staying off of it is
really what is helping. I can't say for sure at this point. But I
can't deny the drop in volume when I use that program so wanted to
share this.

Sounds like you are on your way to recovery. The positive attitude will help
a lot. It compounds, too.

I have recently gone through an awful stage in mine and thought I might go
crazy at nights for a few months.

Chelation therapy using select amino acids, (and pH level adjustment helps
too) over a period of a few months (it takes a long time) has helped
considerably. Not gone yet, but more random in attacks and not continuously,
anymore, and much more tolerable. Liver enzymes and dizziness have decreased
considerably so I know I am less toxic and other things work better.

Stay tuned for the troll that needs everybody else to suffer, here. His
failures dictate his attacks on other posters. Take it as an indicator of
his own frustration and depression. Poor sod.

All the best, never give up!

You reminded me of something I did the other day and forgot about. It
was supposed to be a liver detox. I had heard a lot about the liver
being responsible for many problems so I tried a recipe I found on the
net. Grapefruit, lemon, olive oil and garlic with a touch of cayenne
blended with water. Didn't taste toooo bad but later it made me feel a
little off. That was a few days before my T went down considerably.
Maybe it was part of the solution too. Another thing I did that day
just before using the tamer is I soaked in a hot tub to get the oils
off me from the massage. I poured very warm water in my ears as it
feels good to do. Then I used the ttamer. Do you do the chelation
therapy yourself? When you mentioned the "poor sod" it made me laugh,
haven't heard that word since my dad passed on, he used it all the
time. Are you English?

I learned about chelation therapy from various surces. Years ago, a
Nuturopathic Doctor did it on me without my knowledge. After a few months my
dizziness and tinnitus went away. This was not what I was there for, but an
additional therapy, shoved upon me. After some impressive results I
researched the compounds he was prescribing and I discovered they were
chelation substances, mostly.

A distant relative of mine had a bad stroke years ago and it left her quite
disabled with out much hope from the medical crowd. At the recommendation of
another she went to this old doctor that practiced EDTA therapy, common (and
paid for by insurance) for only lead poisoning therapy. Every week for a few
months and it tapered off to once a month for the last year or so they
injected her with EDTA (A synthetic amino acid known to chelate lead and
other minerals). It cost her $100 per session, I recall hearing. She
reported she hadn't felt that good since she was 16 years old. Now, she
drives all over town and helps out charity groups like a teenager for the
last 15 years now. She is getting past 85 years of age and is starting to
slow down, lately.

It seems your chloresterol and minerals combine to form plaque that hardens
and clogs up your blood vessels. The medical crowd want everybody to be on
Lipitor or Crestor to lower ther lipids, depite the drug nomograph stating
it doesn't help strokes or other problems, statistically. (may even cause
them to be worse). Chelation can lower the other part of the formulae for
plaque formation and has worked quite well for many, rather than the liver
damaging drugs.

I have been involved in liver detox proceedures, also. IIRC you fasted and
drank epsom salts (magnesium) several times over several hours and then
olive oil and lemon juice?? the last one. This stimulated your liver
function and gall bladder to function dramatically. I remember being very
impressed after doing this, felling healthy but a second time, months later
= no results, at all. Not sure about the reality of this procedure.

Not English since early 1700s. Just heard it and seemed appropriate rather
than "poor bastard"...LOL

I heard that coffee is good for the liver too. Is that true?

I would doubt any toxin like caffeine would be good for the liver. Perhaps
using it as a colon flush??

I do notice that coffee neutralizes alcohol, which hurts liver.
