Have you tried taking the faucet test?

The faucet test involves the following. You stand near the sink and
turn the water faucet on fully. Many people with tinnitus are unable
to hear tinnitus sounds while standing near or close to running or
falling water. One other way is to perform this test while in the
shower. If either of these provide some relief then you would likely
benefit from technique known as “masking”.

Many trust a technique known as “masking” that uses white noise to
silence or make the ringing less noticeable or transparent.

This is treatment option is commonly used while undergoing other
treatment options.

Kristy's "blog" contains the statement

"Studies have shown that if left untreated tinnitus will likely worsen over time. The best course of action is to properly identify the root cause or source and seek treatment accordingly. Most people find little or no relief for their tinnitus because they lack the information necessary to treat it properly. Properly diagnosing tinnitus and identifying the root cause can be difficult for some however it is the required first step to properly treat tinnitus..."

Which is false. What scientific studies have actually shown is that, over time, people habituate to tinnitus, which means they start tuning it out so that it no longer bothers them. So tinnitus gets better over time for most everyone, not worse.

The problem is that it is very annoying at the beginning, leaving folks open to scam cures peddled by people like Kristy.

Habituation does not make tinnitus any better, just more tolerable to the
sufferer.

Which scientific studies were you referring to or were they only imagined by
yourself?
